Colorectal Cancer

In 2000, it was proposed that a Special Issue based on “state of the art” information derived from the first Multidisciplinary Congress of Colorectal Cancer would be fruitful. This issue is a result of that proposal and topics as diverse as new surgical techniques, genetics, cost-effectiveness studies, new therapies, quality control and new diagnostic methodologies are examined and discussed. We hope that our readers will be both informed and excited by the data within this issue and for a more detailed description of the content, we refer the reader to the Editorial provided by the Guest Editors, Professors van Krieken and van de Velde.
