Great strides continue to be made

We have produced a Special Issue to mark some of the remarkable achievements in the field of "Gene transcription and cancer" where 'great strides' have been made in recent years following the completion of the Human Genome Project. We have selected articles highlighting the potential clinical usefulness of new proteomic and genomic technology that we thought would be of interest to our readers. We hope that you will be both informed and excited by the articles within this issue.
