International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics
The International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics is the official journal of FIGO, the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Focusing on the whole issue of women's reproductive health, with special consideration for women in developing countries, the IJGO publishes specialist subject sections, Special Issues and Supplement Issues in addition to regular research papers. The full text of sample articles, special sections and supplements will be made freely available on this site. A link to the FIGO web site is also provided, should you wish to know more about this organisation and become a donor to its charitable Foundation - which includes the benefit of an individual copy of issues of the journal. Averting Maternal Death and Disability (AMDD) is a new specialist section of the journal. Arising from support by Columbia University, USA, of the joint FIGO-Elsevier initiative "The Women's Health Care Share Network", up to 100 pages of peer-reviewed research on AMDD will be published annually between 2001 and 2004, together with a bulk sponsorship of subscriptions to individuals in developing countries.
