| Citation Rankings The Journal of Econometrics shows a steady improvement in the citation rankings. In order to present and relate this data, a comparison has been made between the Journal of Econometrics (JoE), the Review of Economics and Statistics (REStat) and Econometrica. ISI covers a total of 165 journals in its economics section and in 1999 the Journal of Econometrics ranked as number 40 and in the 2001 survey as number 28.
Online Version of JoE The online version of the Journal of Econometrics is
available from www.sciencedirect.com.
It is recognised by Elsevier that optimising usage of published articles
is of essence to authors: it increases their chances to be cited which
contributes to the prestige of the Journal. Increasing usage is a core
element the distribution strategy. The following table shows an increase
of 46 % of full text articles (FTA) published between 1997-2002.
