Compsec 2000 Security Testing Assault Course
NTA Monitor will provide an Assault Course, for delegates to try their hand at security testing.The course will take place in the Compsec Exhibition area where five delegates at a time can get busy at the workstations provided, targeting the simulated corporate Internet network perimeter, with the challenge to reach the Winning Post in 30 minutes!
Novices are provided with test methodology guidance to get them started, and a range of test tools are also provided on the users' dual-booting Windows/Linux systems. The Assault Course aims to be a learning experience for all participants, whether novice or more experienced at security testing, and does not require 'secret knowledge'! The NTA Assault course proved very popular at the InfoSec exhibition in April 2000, and it was a team effort of three from the Netherlands Tax office who finally reached the Winning Line - at 8pm after some concentrated activity!
