Allen Brown
has been President and Chief Executive Officer of The Open Group
since 1999. Previously he was the Group's Chief Financial Officer
and Vice President of Business Development. He has been responsible
for developing the Group's testing and branding operations, leading
its efforts in licensing the UNIX trademark to suppliers. Previously,
Allen spent 13 years with Unilever plc. He has an MBA from the London
Business School and is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of
Certified Accountants. |

Dr Vinton Cerf
is the co-designer of the TCP/IP protocol, the computer communications
language that gave birth to the Internet. In December 1997 Vinton
and his partner, Robert E Kahn, were presented the US National Medal
of Technology by President Bill Clinton, for founding and developing
the worldwide network. Vinton served as founding President of the
Internet Society from 1992 to 1995 and recently completed his term
as Chairman of the Board. |

issues. He was previously CEO of United Press International. Under

for helping to transform the fortunes of the company by introducing
modern information systems and business practices. He lectures frequently

career with AT&T Dr Ed Amoroso has been involved in a variety of
computer and network projects. He is currently involved in Internet
security consultation and engineering for AT&T customers, and for
many of the company's internal services and e-commerce offers. Ed is
also the technical lead on major on-going R&D effort within AT&T,
in the area of perimeter intrusion detection and cracker activity surveillance.
