The IT Governance
Roundtable Discussion will debate the emergence of the new concept of
IT Governance which is 'a management process established to enable organisations
to reap the full benefits of IT in a secure & reliable manner'.
IT Governance is closely allied to Corporate Governance as part of Enterprise
Governance & this relationship will be debated in detail. The speaker
is a UK representative of the IT Governance Institute (established by
ISACA Foundation in 1998) whose goal is to demonstrate 'How IT Governance,
control and assurance can impact an organisation's effectiveness by:
addressing business issues like e-commerce; assuring security, reliability
and integrity of strategic information; protecting the investment in
IT; ensuring the appropriate management of information assets.
