Trust
and authentication are essential building blocks necessary to enable
secure global e-commerce. We will detail areas ranging from the non-digital
nature of trust, to who is best positioned to provide trust on the web,
with special attention on the various authentication models and the
associated levels of security offered by certification authorities and
public key infrastructures. We will discuss the solutions available
to provide the necessary levels of security required for secure e-commerce.
We will also look at how these models fit into an overall risk management
strategy and how you can best assess their suitability for you application
environment and your business.
