Exploiting e-commerce opportunities at break-neck speed is exposing organisations to an extremely high level of risk. Evidence for this can be found in the media almost every day as well-publicised incidents bring serious embarrassment - and worse - to ill-prepared companies and governments.
The risks are set to evolve and intensify as the migration of e-commerce to new delivery channels such as mobile 'phones and digital television introduces new security challenges.
This presentation outlines recent work by the Information Security Forum on the causes of 'e-risk' and the approaches that organisations can take to achieve a better balance between speed and safety in delivering their e-commerce initiatives.
