Technical Stream
- Thursday 2 November 2000
This presentation
will provide an update on the Advanced Encryption Standard, the current
U.S. government effort to develop a new symmetric encryption algorithm
standard. In 1999, the National Institute of Standards and Technology
had narrowed the field to five algorithms Mars, RC5, Rijndael,
Serpent, and Twofish and may or may not have chosen a single
standard by the time this talk is given.
