Every company that is going to compete effectively in today's business environment is rushing to e-nable its enterprise. Owners and managers can see the huge potential gains both from increased customer contact and lower costs: they are obvious and tangible. Yet security risks are intangible and might never happen to them. Worse than that, since no organization is an island in today's Internet economy, the source of an attack could be a trusted business partner, themselves an innocent victim.
This presentation will look at the business and security issues that are raised by the move to interoperability for the e-nabled enterprise and consider the strategies that should to be adopted by IT suppliers, user organizations and governments world-wide.
