The service for rapid publication of and access to important research results in the field of Cognitive Sciences.

On this service, the Tables of Contents, the abstracts of all articles, as well as the full text of all articles published in Cognition since 1994 are available. Apart from providing access to the above content relating to the print journal, important research results in the field of Cognitive Science are published rapidly on this site in the form of Brief Articles. These articles are also published in the first available issue of the print version of Cognition.

In 2000 Cognition Online introduced Electronic Annexes. Authors can append background data in the form of Electronic Annexes to accepted research papers to be published in Cognition. These could range from simply additional tables and/or figures to source code, animations, 3D/confocal images, videos etc. It is hoped that the availability of these Electronic Annexes will stimulate in-depth examination of research results and will facilitate comparative studies to be conducted. However, the article to which the Electronic Annex refers should be self-contained, as we want to continue serving readers who may not have access to Internet facilities. All Electronic Annexes will be peer reviewed and will have a link next to the article itself in the Cognition Online environment.

About accessing content on this site: Tables of Contents, abstracts and the full text of Brief Articles are available without any restrictions. However, full text of all other articles is accessible only to those individuals whose library has a subscription to the print edition of Cognition. There is no extra charge to either the libraries or their authorized users for this service.
